Digital tool providing support to professional footballers

One of our most exciting projects to date this year has been partnering with the Clarke Carlisle Foundation for Dual Diagnosis, a charity founded by retired professional footballer and former chairman of the Professional Footballer’s Association Clarke Carlisle, to develop a digital app for professional footballers with mental health and substance misuse issues with the aim of connecting them to educational materials, self-help strategies and counselling support.

As part of the project, we have been working in collaboration with highly experienced clinicians in the field of mental health as well as professional footballers, to ensure that the app contains relevant, accurate content and also appeals to professional sportsmen and women who may be in need of support for their mental health. One of our Directors, Miranda, was able to give attendees at the Foundation’s recent “Be the Difference” Gala Dinner a sneak preview of how the finished app will look and feel, and we can’t wait to start the next phase of development on this truly innovative new digital tool.
